I always wanted to be a ballet dancer. The costumes. The elegance. The physical poetry. It’s all so romantic. I took ballet for several years when I was young, but before long, ballon became triple jumps, pirouettes only happened in paintbrush strokes and fouettés converted to toe touches. I always wished I would’ve continued on my way to busting out arabesques on polished wood floors at parties.
