This, was my weekend. Interspersed with a lake, some Swedish Fish, yoga, a wedding and some extreme dog walking (in order to make it to said wedding). Eat your heart out, beer lovin’ jewelry wearers. You can find them at New Belgium, in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Boo Davis is the hippest heavy metal quilter around. Yes, heavy metal quilter. Like an arranged marriage between Martha Stewart and Slash, her union between hand stitched blankets and metal is undoubtedly unordinary. The colors she chooses for her quilts are bright, her patterns are reminiscent of Gee’s Bend quilts, and yet she manages to work skulls and sayings like “rock out with your [you know what] out” front and center on them. Definitely not your average quilter.

This summer, friends of me and the beau are getting married at an outdoor venue in Lyons, Colorado called Planet Bluegrass. They asked us if we could design their invites, sticking with the bluegrass theme. The result? Inspired by Hatch Show, a personalized set of wedding invites that holler “help our Colorado-lovin’-outdoor-enjoying-adventure-seekin’-concert-goin’ selves celebrate our love for each other!” Congrats, Rachel & Nate.
